newest member of the firm,
Kara D. Beverly, J.D.,
2007. Kara is a recent
graduate of Howard
University and will
work with the Litigation
Practice Group, pending the
results of the Ohio Bar
exam.
For over 16 years,
Buckingham Cleveland has
served the firm’s clients in

The group won a major
nursing home negligence case
that received national
attention. They are also
proud to serve as litigation
counsel to HCR Manor Care,
one of the largest nursing
home corporations in the
United States.
Our Cleveland office is also
committed to serving our
community. In fact, our
attorneys and staff provide
countless hours of volunteer
work to the communities that
we serve. Many of our
attorneys serve as directors
on boards of nonprofit
organizations, and our
office as a whole provides
support to many local
charities. For example, we
have ongoing commitments to
The Littlest Heroes, a
northeast Ohio organization
that provides support to
children with cancer and
their families, and
Achievement Centers for
Children, a center of
support and expertise for
children with special needs.

Practice Group: Our Business group provides day-to-day guidance focused on helping

Employment and
Workers' Compensation Practice Group: The Employment Law
group represents employers with regard to labor and employment relations
including collective bargaining and grievance, arbitration, defense
against union organizing campaigns, employment discrimination
litigation, ERISA litigation, wrongful discharge litigation, unfair
competition and trade secret litigation. Our attorneys represent clients
before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the National Labor
Relations Board, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the
Ohio Civil Rights Commission, and the State Employment Relations Board.
In addition, the Employment Law group provides consulting on personnel
practices, wage-hour matters and unemployment compensation, as well as
DWRF issues, handicap reimbursement and subrogation. The Workers'
Compensation section of the group represents state-funded, self-insured
and public employers before the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, the
Industrial Commission, the Court of Common Pleas, the Court of Appeals
and the Supreme Court of Ohio.

Practice Group:

Medicine Practice Group: Our Health Law group offers comprehensive legal services to a

MSOs, IPAs, PPOs, HMOs, home health care providers, durable medical

Real Estate &
Construction Practice Group: The Real Estate group represents clients in all types
